They may LOOK the same, but they're not made of the same material. I've read of too many horror stories of replica rims cracking due to inferior materials, rims being out of true, and not being hub-centric (causing wheel shake).

What I heard is those wheels are made by ODM in Taiwan, BMW doesn't allow them to put BMW mark on it (if you look OEM wheels carefully, you can see the BMW mark and serial numbers some where in the wheel) so they made something and sell it as replica via different company. I had them for about three years, and they have no problems. I got them for about $800.
