Tomcat, I was comparing to all tires, but especially Michelin. As Rosamila points out, HOW you calculate cost is essential.

I routinely get over 60,000 miles on our Michelins through proper rotation and monthly pressure checks. (Currently, nearing 70,000 on our BF Goodrich, side note Michelin owns them and Uniroyal. you can have Michelin technology and value at less cost with these brands). Value is rarely based on the price of the item alone.

As my father in law says, "I ain't rich enough to buy the cheap stuff..."
