Hope they can make the jump to first place when they come up with the new X5. Don't want to be a pessimist but I think it's going to be tough for them to come up with a better looking interior.

if they follow suit (Which BMW usually does) Just look at the e90 or e60 interior for an idea...Im pretty sure i-Drive will be standard, and so will "rotary" controls...The e53 is that last of the "pushbutton" cockpit IMO...

i like the i-drive setup but the other thigs like the heating system and so on i hope they keep it push buttons

I think that the i-drive works a lot like the bottom right button/knob on the nav system. just takes some getting used to, but not very intuitive to do some of the more obscure functions
