Hi IanP,
Thank you for the advice.
I have changed the oil at the end of the same day, after about 60 km of driving. Changed the oil, filter, dropped the pan and cleaned out the suction pipe. There were minor debris (compare to the original load-up) here and there – a few little bits of the plastic lining, minor amount of small aluminum shavings in the filter and a couple of squeeze-outs of the RTV that I have used to dress the gaskets. Nevertheless, I have thoroughly washed the suction pipe with Varsol cleaner, installed new oil filter and changed the oil. I am planning on doing the same in another 1000 km.
My first outing after the repair was on Sunday. Although it was rough weather for puddling, I had nice feeling that the life settled back to normal.
