I have to say this place is a little excape from life's routine...it is not often you can find a bunch of folks from all walks of life from all over the world that appreciate what one another has to offer....kind of like Star Trek with out the awkward tight black pants and disco boots.

Hey Roc3B, sorryt o hear all the bad sh*t happening to your ride. Me, like yourself, is bloody annoyed with the obvious lack of quality the X5 has offered me. I bought the X a year ago with the opinion that it is a BMW and that spells quality...
Quality is not a boot that lives its own life and manufacturer ignoring problem
Quality is not airbag lights coming on for no reason
Quality is not electric backseats packing in after 50K miles
Quality is not a drivers door which doesn't close when the temperature drops below 32F

Why are Lexus customers more loyal that us X5 owners?? I rest my case...

Damn Roc, I am actually happy to hear youre calling it quits..A man can only take so much...I see you didnt take me up on my offer to have my "boys" come around and "check out" your ride...HAHAHA..That is a good thing..

And I own a 2004 X, but if your not a performance head and drive like me and miss Daisy, you might want to give that GX a look...If the one you look at has Nav in it, you wont even need a sales pitch.....But from a drivers perspective, you know the drill...In any case, dont be a stranger, bud! And let us know how it turns out!

I have actually only spent ~$200 USD on repairs (bought the X5 2004-05).

Is there any diffrencs between European and USA X5?

i don't understand why everyone is having all these problems. sure, every car has its faults and failures, but crap. i'm on my second x5, and the only thing wrong with it is my passenger rear door lock actuator is on the fritz. that's it.

my first x5 had the rear door latch problem, and 3 rear rims/wheels and 1 front wheel/rim. also the door handle paint failure.

that was it... pretty good when my x5 was built 08/0000 and was a first year/month production 4.4.....
