ABS, Brake, & DSC yellow lights
I went to a local shop and ran my 2003 X5 through a code reader and threw 2 codes: steering wheel angle sensor and some other code that I forgot but it was something like "unable to perform test". The shop tried to turn off the yellow lights but there were unable to. They told me the ABS module was most likely bad. I pulled out the ABS module and sent it to an ABS Module specialty shop but they were unable to fix the module as the module was not the type that they could fix. They will send it back to me. What are my options now - should I just buy a new ABS module from the dealer or have someone take a closer look. If I do need a new module, is there a website that I can order from?

The person I bought my X from had the ABS module replaced and a number of ABS sensors and thought they had cured the problem. The lights would go out for a while then return some time later. If its coming up with steering angle sensor then it is most likely that. Its an easy fix, just an expensive part for what it is-though less expensive than the ABS module (£1800 here in the uk). Once fitted you'll need to get the DSC module reconfigured.
