Just looked at these on a cheap tires website, the tread design looks exactly like the federal couragia tires...? Seriously, look at the tread on the atturo vs the federal in this link.

The Atturo website didn't say anything about Federal last year when I read it, it simply referred to contract manufacturing.

The website now states "manufactured by Federal" and notes that the tires now have DOT certification. Also, the Federal website is using the same text as the Atturo website, discussing the SRG tread pattern.

And from your link, the Federal tire is $173 vs $220 for the Atturo (315/35 20). So the Atturo tire seems to be competing at a price point slightly higher, albeit with what appears to be the same tire.

One of the differences may remain the tire warranty. Federal has a registration and warranty program. Atturo has not announced any new dealers in North America since last year, and notes that warranty is only valid at authorized dealers. They appear to continue to be drop shipping container loads into North America. Certainly local tire stores could put their own warranty on them, might explain the markup.

Good observations and analysis.
