Same questions for you - iPod Generation and iPod firmware version?

i've been having the same issues and the lack of response to online support tickets is quite disconcerting. my control module seems to go bad consistantly for the past two weeks or so.

I would suggest contacting Dension via phone if your emails are not being anwsered. Dension can be contacted at 562.595.5153.

If it is something I can assist with, feel free to email me directly and I'll try to assist.

I also have the same problem with my icelink. My ipod is a 30gb photo with the latest update.
When my icelink goes down, the ipod continues to play on its own with no interaction between the radio controls. It will not FF or REW or skip or swith playlists and the radio display reads *AUX*.

I have found that I must pull the fuse on the icelink to resett it and then all works well. It happens to me maybe once every couple days. Recently, it has been working well for the last 4 days.
Does anyone have a link for the icelink update?

the AUX display is a communication break between the iPod and the ice>Link.

I need to know your current firmware version beforehand. Here are the procedures for determining your firmware version on your ice>Link Plus:

Turn the key to the on position and select your CD Changer. Once you are in this mode, plug in the iPod to the Active Cradle or Docking cable. During the warning screen, the firmware version can be spotted by looking at the number in the top right corner of the iPod.

I will need this number before we can continue.

Have you tried reinitializing the system? This can be done by the following steps:

1) remove battery cables.
2) touch battery cables together (not touching battery)
3) reinstall battery cables
4) reconnect iPod after hard reset (MENU and center buttons for +5 seconds)

Try these steps and let me know if this corrects the problem.
