I hadn't bothered to upgrade for some time, as it was working without any hitches. Finally did upgrade (to the same version as you) and it is a big improvement. Very happy with it.

Now I'm drooling Tom but I won't be able to play with Firmware for two weeks cause I'm travelling

Still I am sure you will exceed our every expectation as always

UCrew: This represents a potentially HUGE development with our ICELinks. If Tom's info is significant will you consider making it a sticky either on this forum or on the Stereo Systems forum?

I've just upgraded mine following adive from the UK supplier. I've been having major issues with a photo ipod losing its connectivity to the car (car thinks there's no changfer fitted anymore), loss of ipod control (continues now), ipod resets, ID3 tags not updating etc.

2B2 has fixed most of that but now if I do several track changes in rapid succession using the sterring wheel controls the ipod stops responding to the track up/down and playlist selection. Single track changes separated by about 30 secs work fine. The ipod just keeps playing, even after being removed from the car. A soft reset is all that stops it. Supplier thinks it might be the BMW adapter gizmo but they're not sure and not getting any support from Dension.

Dension Support have been a complete waste of time as they have so far failed to act or respond to any of the four emails requesting assistance. Sure I get a ticket number each time, but that's it. Their website says they'll respond within two days - complete bull!! Even the UK supplier is fed up with them, and they partly own the company (or say they do!).

Whatever's coming had better be good because I wouldn't recommend this system to anyone due to the complete lack of manufacturer support in Europe if anything goes wrong. I bought via Apple Computer - but they don't support it as it doesn't carry their brand name, so I have to go through Dension.

Reputations can be made or broken if support is wrong. It may be fine in the US, but not in the UK.

I'll try to assist. What Generation iPod (and iPod firmware version) are you using?
