'06 4.4 shaking on startup

Hey All,

My '06 4.4 is shaking on startup. So far it's happened twice when it's cold out and the second time the "Check Engine" light came on. After reving the engine a bit the shaking goes away and the X runs smoth (check engine light stays on). I ended up dropping it off at the shop anyways for them to take a look at it.

Any ideas what I should expect from the shop?

Check the CCV hoses. The usually get soft and could have cracks.

I had same problem. It was intermediate levers.

Lots of different reasons why this could be.

where are the ccv hoses located? sorry im a convert from mopar to bmw, so its a bit diff

under the middle cover to the back of the motor

10-4..just reading a great post about cleaning ccv. Why do these things get clogged?

Mine has exact same problem. Have appointment scheduled next week. Please let us know what they found.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I should get my X back from the shop today and I'll post here what they found.

@ Mywidebody02, I think you're right regarding the CCV. I called the shop yesterday and they told me the error readings where pointing towards a starter celenoid (sp?) but that they where still checking it out.
By the way, your X is sick! I love the black on red.
