Air Conditioning Relay 2004 X5
Apologies if this is detailed somewhere on teh site but have searched and not found it. My air conditioner has died and its around 36C or just under 100F here in Australia right now. The air cond button responds on the auto air cond panel but the compressor does not start or the aux fan so I am wondering whether its the relay. I have checked the fuses but cant locate the relays apart from the few in the back. Any help appreciated. thanks, Seedar. |

In case anyone else wanted to know I just saw a photo of the relays in the ad for the bentley manual which seems to answer my question - above glove box. Now just need to work out which one is the air cond.

We had a similar problem with my sister's X not too long ago - I checked all the relays and they were all working so I was absolutely stumped. It ended up being the Final Stage Resistor that needed replacing. I can't guarantee that that's your problem, but it's worth a look because we had the same symptoms you're experiencing. Let us know how it pans out...
Good luck!
