Door Lock (passenger side) won't unlock with remote
Is there air pressue in a line, or oil in a line, that i can inflate or pump up to help the system? or is it electronic cable or motor activated? Any ideas to help fix the problem? Thanks, Tom |

Had a case where nothing would open - my indy suggested it maybe a radio signal problem - press the door unlock up to 30 times may get it open - it did with me - frankly I could not see myself crawling in thru the back hatch - oh, my door key lock also decided to fail at the same time, so the key would not work - that required a new lock, which also required giving BMW my registration & DL to confirm it was really coming to me, rather some chop-shop.
my driver's rear door does that occasionally - had to replace the passenger rear door lock when someone yanked on it before I could hit the door unlock

Is the door lock pin coming up or staying down?

Door lock pin not coming up on one door..
when i hit the key unlock button, or when i use the key in the door lock and turn it to unlock twice, 3 of the 4 doors unlock. the passenger front door doesn't unlock, nor does the pin come up on that door.
Very randomly (once in a blue moon) it will unlock with the rest of them. that is why i am thinking that it may be just a lubrication issue, or lack of enough pressure in a line, or something of that nature. Any ideas? |

I have the same problem on my passenger rear door. The pin is staying down for me.

Bummer. Have you heard what is causing it, or how to fix it?

No, I have not. I have replaced the carriers on both front doors. Very different symptoms in the rear though. The door just will not unlock electronically. As you mentioned it will unlock when opened from the inside. However using the remote and pressing the lock button on the center console does not do the trick.

Widebody is right, the door actuator is bad. I have the same problem on one of my rear passenger doors, which I'll get round to doing one day!
