transmission failsafe program....again...

fellow exers,
sorry for the new thread, old problem, but I am hoping with a fresh start someone may be able to help out. I tried some PM to some people here with no help.
ok, so originally, my transmission went bad, I rebuilt it myself, I also re-built the valve body, and have a set of tested solenoids in there, I also tested the older solenoids and they are ok. now, as soon as I turn my car on, the TFP comes up, you can drive it, slowly, and reverse works great. but the car is stuck in 4th gear. I hooked up a GT1 scanner, I get a EGS code: 0F: EDS total current..... no idea what that is, and the diagnosis in the gt1 is no help either, that fault is nowhere to be found, I also tried a different EGS computer, and I get the same code. I also checked the wiring no problems. at least there is continuity.
after reading a lot, I'm about to:
1.- test the battery (altho it starts perfectly everytime)
2.- test alternator (I replaced less than a year ago)
3.- replace wheel speed sensors (I happen to have a set of new ones)
4.- finally to get rid of the X somehow...don't wanna do that...love this car.
