alarm question

my sister inlaw has an 2001 330 xi and when she lock or unlock the car there is not any sound that alarm was activated ,is there any option to set the alarm on or off thnx

Hi. It is possible to activate/recode that. I do this with EDIABAS/INPA & NCS tools. I don't know if the BMW service can do that with their tools.

It may also be that the car does not have an alarm. Alarms have not typically been standard on 3 series vehicles. Even on the newest E90s, it is still an option to add an alarm.

Yup. You have to purchase it from BMW and have them activate it so the clown nose blinks.
