That sucks. I thought the clutch in your photo looked familiar... BTDT...

*edit* but not that THAT familiar - the viscous clutch you have there is from a 3.0i, not a 3.0d.

To be fair I'd never seen the 3.0 parts and I usually just see them in my rear view mirror..

Replaced the O ring on the front diff where it fits into the oil pan. What a PITA! Took me 11 hours start to finish. Two of that was spent trying to get the diff back in place right after my two hydraulic jacks took a dump.

Also discovered my radiator has a leak. Will be replacing that this weekend.

So the transfer case motor I ordered from Westphalia Germany is installed (@118f sucks) and it cured the error that shall NOT be named (the Witch is listening) so I'll call it a win for now!

Did you have to code the motor?

No, numbers matched as it was New Old Stock. But to be fair I don't believe it's necessary for the motor, just use the correct Classification Resistor.

I borrowed it. It's a VDIAGTOOL VD80BT and its almost like it's running (installed) PA Soft 1.4.0 and some sort of funky ISTA

Installed two new wipers. Just as it's being parked for maintenance.
