Got the tension struts installed today. All that is left is the front struts and an oil/filter change. I'll get that done next weekend.

UPDATE: Drove my wife to the airport this morning and I'm happy to say that there was no increase in noise, vibration, or harshness with the powerflex tension strut bushings.

Looked in the engine bay and saw coolant leaking from the temp sensor. Stifled some cuss words, stopped at partsource and then remembered it's Ishtard Sunday :P

New LCD display installed in the NAV unit. Service performed by germanaudiotech (found them on eBay). Since they are also in LA, I paid extra and had him come to the service in my driveway. Nice guy, and the new display looks terrific.

Italian tuneup run, followed by a 20 min Liquimoly flush, including a few minutes at 2000 RPM. Changed the oil, putting in Lubromoly 5w40. While I was letting it train, I re-secured heat shields that have been hanging down. They were corroded badly enough that they just slipped off the bolts. Will patch them up next week.

Also took the time to investigate what the idiots at MrLube (the last oil change) thought was a leak from the rear main seal. As I suspected, it looks like when the dealer replaced the VCG, his tech didn't bother to clean all the oil that was sitting in the skid plate and stiffening plate. Cleaned it up, driveway shows no new spots.

While I was in there, I replaced the leaky coolant temp sensor. No more coolant drip.

Transfer Case Chain

Replaced the stretched Transfer Case Chain. No more skips when I really get on the gas (diesel)! What a relief. Everything we removed and everything inside the transfer case looked super healthy....
