@crystalworks: please update with alignment findings. We replaced some links and were told alignment wasn't needed. Wife wore through two steel belts on both front tires before I noticed. I would always align after replacing any link that could affect alignment.

I need to replace the links for the anti-sway bar (genius design other than the plastic ball joint they clunk like hell once worn).

I also need to replace the thrust bushing which although allow the front wheels to move over half an inch while braking some how that is not causing any tire wear so possibly does not affect alignment which blows my mind.

I will get alignment looked at after installing.

Will do, I'll let you know what the results are.

On your thrust bushings... I used Meyle HD versions with good results. Also replaced the thrust arm ball joints with Lemoerders at the same time. That was a fun job, let me tell you. My ball joints were frozen in the knuckle BAD.

Today was rear window regulator change. Replaced the glass mounting clip also. It was almost done, brittle and falling apart. My old regulator cables jumped track.

I remember that. Ever replace the handle? Use Fiberglas.

I wish I could find a replacement handle. I've looked in a couple tool places and haven't found one.

I'll try Ebay.

Haha Mike! My BFH of is fiberglass handled and I'm not sure what it would take to break. It's taken a beating... and delivered quite a few beatings as well. It's definitely the best persuasion tool I've ever purchased. I don't even remember where I got it, but it has performed some serious work. Both on the car and the house. I used it to drive an 18" spike into concrete to break up a walkway I poured when we first bought the house. It didn't even break a sweat... though I sure as hell did.

Here's my "pickle fork of power" and my BFH after beating my rear driveshaft into submission. That mofo was frozen on the output pin of the transfer case. After all the beating the centering sleeve still stayed on the output pin and had to be pulled of with a 3 jaw. On reassembly everything got a liberal coating of copper grease I assure you!
