Sounds wonderful.

I need to do something to mine. The Dinan exhaust is too quiet. Thinking about doing cutouts or something.

If you are going to make a change consider upgrading the entire exhaust to maximize back pressure reduction.

I'm going to do some experimenting with it. Have a couple of ideas but may have to try multiple options to find the one I am happiest with. I love the Dinan exhaust sound... just want it louder.

Wow so you want it louder. I have the Dinan exhaust on my 4.6is with intake, dinan throttle and Dinan tune. It sounds fierce and moves well. Plenty loud for me when you step on it. I do like that when cruising on the highway there is no drone or annoying in cabin resonance. I bet if you remove the center resonator in favor of just an X-pipe you will get the more sound you are looking for. As i understand the center resonator has an x pipe in it but is heavily insulated to cut more sound.

Suggest you consider TPS electric cutouts as that gives you the option to cruise with a great but reasonable sound or open the cutouts a little or to point neighbors call the police.

Yeah, I have to get under there and see what it looks like as far as clearances and such. Was thinking of doing electric cutouts in front of the resonator going around it to meet back up before the Dinan mufflers. Wanted to see what that sounded like... X pipes are an option, etc. Lots of options and I think I'll have to try multiple iterations to see which I prefer.

I was definitely considering cutouts, just not sure how I wanted to utilize them yet. Probably not in a "dump" capacity like on muscle cars... but you never know.

I installed the cutouts just after the rear 02 sensors at same distance from exhaust manifolds. Since the 'flaps' are controlled electrically and will open any amount you choose I don't see any reason to locate them any other place though my goal was performance, no sound goal.

After looking at the RealOEM diagrams... that looks like the ideal place to put them. Did you have them opening as dumps, or skipping around the resonator to meet the muffler piping down stream as I was thinking?

Replaced my wiper blades

Took my DISA valve off, as my idle was feeling rough. Horray!
