I broke lots of hammers in my early DIY years, then remembered my Dad telling me to work smarter, not harder.
With the compressor and air tools in the garage (air chisel included), got the pickle forks for this work...... https://www.nationaltoolwarehouse.co...FQYtaQodtjsGJQ These cost no more then a good hammer, and make DIYs a breeze.

It made VERY quick work of the lower control arms on the front end the other day. I had both sides done, along with the sway bar end links, in a little over an hour. I would hammer the fork in and then jack up the handle with the floor jack (leave the nut on the top of the threads of ball joint). Would pop out easily no fuss, no muss.Quote:

[QUOTE=crystalworks;1109828] you can see how much it's gotten used by the mushrooming at the back of it. /QUOTE]

Okay I just finished installing the switchbacks that you recommended in my 2003 X5 4.6is and funny thing is the switchback works as its listed where turn signal is in amber and the park light is white. These leds are bright which is way better than the silver coated incandescent bulbs that bimmian sells. Crystalworks thanks for the recommendation. Oh by the way didn't have to use load resistors on these led bulbs also.
