2002 BMW X5 4.4i Sport Package 116K
i've had my truck up for sale on various websites since august and in the local papers and haven't gotten much of any response and i believe i have the right price. i'm located in central CT and have it up for sale now at 10,750$ it was originally at 12,000 but i dropped the asking price. does this price seem fair? mechanically the vehicle is sound, and drives great. i had the transmission rebuilt at 95K. there are a few parking lot dents, one in particular on the front drivers side fender which is the only one visible from a distance.

IMO $10,750 is still a little high. And, if gas gets to $5 a gallon you won't be able to give it away. Sorry, I wish our trucks were worth more and got better gas mileage.

very true!
The used car guys here in Cleveland Ohio must make alot shipping them over seas because they do it all the time.bimmers and benz mostly to the middle east they say,twice as much as here thats hard to believe.

same ol' - what is the sold price on fleabay, what are lots selling them for on Edmunds..
first blush, $12k and allow the haggle room you need to let go for $10.5-11K. No interest at all at $10,750? ouch for all of us. I know a buyer would want all service records, and an indy inspection, but with those, under $11k for 2002 sport sounds low. I presume orig 18" wheels? Unfortunately, (unless the buyer's name is Phred) if you do your own service, you will take a hit on resale value, as no one in their right mind believes you took care of everything and will properly suppose that it'll cost 'em 2K to get it correctly maintenanced. MHO

I have been looing pretty actively for about two weeks and I think you are a little high but still in the ballpark. If you dropped it to $9,999 and went firm on price I'd bet you get a lot more action if you need to move it more quickly. If not, I'd hold out and hope to settle for ~$10.5K or so.
I just pulled the trigger on a 2004 4.4i Sport with 85K for $13.4. First X-Series and I can't wait to pick it up! Rodie -- 2003.5 M3 SMG

I think that seems fair. I unloaded a 2002 4.4i sport package with 130,000 miles for $10,700 towards the end of 2011. It was in pretty good shape and well optioned. I had it listed on Autotrader, here, BMW CCA and of all places, it sold through Craigslist. I had an earlier offer of $11,500, but couldn't get the title fast enough for that buyer.

So i sold her for just uner 10K. Wish i could have gotten a little more for her but it is what it is. Sad to see her go but i got a 2001 330Ci with a 5-speed to keep me entertained for the spring / summer. (only has 67K and looks/drives as if it were brand new) It's lowered a bit too much for me, i think i need to pop it back up 1/2" or so. Now its time to save up for a newer X5 35d.
