nice mods on the 540, didn't go overboard. I had an 03 540 sport, then an 03 M5. I love that generation...and the E28 and E34 too!

Thanks for your well wishes, everyone! I go to pick up the car on Saturday. My friend stopped in today and found the car was beautiful and almost like new. He said that the seat looked like no one had sat in it and that even the floor mats were factory fresh! I am *very excited* to see this truck. I will take my DSLR along and snap as many pics as I can.

Here's an early picture of my 2004 3.0. I bought it CPO with 18K miles on the odo. Now go figure THAT out, eh? It was just over 7 mos old and had more miles on it than the 4.8 that is now 7 YEARS old!

I don't know if I have shared with you guys the history of this color, the 4.8is and I. Here is a picture of me (cropped) from the museum at the PDC in 2006. I knew right then and there that I was going to have a LeMans Blue 4.8is ONE day. T-minus 40 hours and COUNTING!
