Help!! BMW x5 front bumper dislodged!

I was parallel parking into a really tight spot and as I was backing up I hit the car parked across the street. The front bumper looks like it was just disldged from under the metal part, but from the license plate to the pasenger side everything looks fine. The driver side part of the bumper looks like I can just push it down a bit and pop it back under the metal part (just a little plastic tab from what I can see is preventing me from doing so easily). No wires are loose from what I can tell does anyone know if this is doable or recommended? PLEASE Let me know what you guys think!! Thanks!

Pictures would help a lot here. In general, you can't just "pop" the bumper back in place. I removed mine this weekend and put it back on today. There are many screws that hold it in place. Also on the side there is a plastic connector that the bumper clips on to. This may have been damage.

If you want to get an idea on how the bumper attaches to the body then do a search on "how to remove bumper" or check the article section for a really good write-up on it.

Sorry...I'm not all that eloquent in car speak...it's the front bumper that dislodged, the driver side of the car as I was backing into the space basically scraped another car parked on the other side of the street, so I think the front bumper was just kind of forced downward, and then when I went forward again, that side of the bumper was popped out, but if you look at the passenger side it looks totally fine. I would have taken photos, but being in the massive hurry I was in, I didn't charge my phone. Guess I should have just taken my time and parked properly the first time...

Ha Ha! That is the part I had to replace on mine. Mine were actually $16.70 each (I replaced both). I have a 2004 with the new body style. You have to take the whole bumper off to install these. Good luck!
