Help: rear doors and moon roof

Guys,

2004 E53 4.4

I'm having issues with my rear doors, I'm unable to lock or unlock them with my remote(key) or using the lock button inside the vehicle. In order for me to lock/unlock them I have to so manually from the inside. Is this a fuse problem? which one should I replace?

The rear part of the Moonroof which tilts up a little bit when you press the button down, it's not closing. Being that it doesn't move at all, something tells me maybe another fuse? I would assume that if it got off track, that it would move a little bit at least.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Danny

For the lock, guessing you need to reprogram the key. Do a search on here, and try the DIY. I remember my 330ci stopped working, reprogramming worked just fine.

Thanks for your reply, I forgot to mention that my key locks and unlocks both front doors, but not the rear doors.

The key seems like a programming problem. I don't think it is a fuse because if I can remember, the fuse is centralized, meaning if the fuse was blown, neither the key or the central locking system would lock the rear door. But don;t quote me on it. I was looking through the book and stumbled on it a while ago and just vaguely remember. As for the moonroof, forget closing it for now. Does it open back up? If it does, there is a sliding mechanism under the unit. Sometimes it can get jammed. Do you hear the motor spin when you hit the button? Let us know. And no driving in the rain, it will leak. I know dumb joke, haha.

I would say you need new actuators in the rear and have a bad switch for the moon roof. Mine opens and doesn't close some times and the gt1 said it was the switch. I would make sure you do get power to the actuators when you push the look and unlock button.
