Fuel Injector Upgrade for E53 - Is there such a thing?

Hi Folks,

So I've toyed with the idea of upgrading my injectors. Ater reading a few threads here and in other sights, it seems most folks bring up the "mustang" injectors, sold by Five-o motors which essentially are a "next generation" improvement over the current OEM versions. However, when calling Five-O due to confusion about the specs, they said that the E53 (mine is a 2001 3.o) doesn't have any options for upgrade, and that I'm stuck with OEM. If I chose to still try the new ones, they would make the engine run too rich which can lead to problems (my understanding is that OEM injectors flow at 19lbs/hr; the "mustangs" at 24lbs/hr).

My goal by upgrading was to improve efficiency, with any increase in power (if any) a welcome plus. Has anyone had any luck "upgrading" theirs?
