Got a good story about a mates fancy Range Rover that got stuck in the sand... apparently his model has some sort of terrain sensing device underneath somewhere, and his air suspension decided to drop inexplicably when he was on a sandy river crossing... after that the Range Rover promptly decided it was unsafe to move due to to the zero clearance underneath... and that was that... one fancy Range Rover not going anywhere! He had to get dragged off the sand, whereupon the Rover decided all was well again, and it carried on like nothing had happened! There may have been some way to disable the terrain sensing but at the time he never figured it out. Hasn't ever lived down the embarrassment of getting stuck in his expensive 4x4 either.

Call me what you will but I would turn DSC off. Unless you have X-drive.

go down to 20 psi and you will be fine. bring a compressor to refill tires and get an undercarriage wash at your car wash after the drive

As I said, KEEP ABOVE THE HIGH WATER LINE...what a fool.
Years ago (mid 80's) on the beach in Provencetown MA, my boys and I had taken the International Scout onto the beach to fly kites...tires down to about 8 pounds IIRC, we were having a great time when one of the boys said....ahhh..didn't we come across that spot over there where it looks like the water is about to run in? We got out of there really fast, sure enough the whole area flooded in a few hours...
