Just went to the store on lunch and couldn't find the Ultra cut.... But there was a meguiars ultimate compound. It's a little less agressive than the ultra cut.
Anyone know if it'll do the same thing? As for the wax i bought Meguiar's Gold class... hope that does the trick!

I got mine from a shop which sells auto-paint stuff, not local auto parts. IMHO, as long you are willing to just work it a few times any compound will work eventually, the unique thing about M105 is that it uses chemmecial reaction to soften the paint and let the agitaion from polisher/machine to do it's job faster (The idea must come from black-smith which heat the metal to soften it before tempering/forming) |

The only way (once you've polished) to keep it from happening again is to keep the trim waxed. Collinite 845 is fantastic as it's easy to apply and lasts a long time. Not to mention, just a little goes a long way.

I actually noticed that on mine too recently. I used piece of cloth and kept rubbing, it started to go away. I am not sure exactly what caused that thing. Usually oil causes those kinds of discolorations.
