Got rear ended - does this bumper look right? (includes PICS)
Am I being delusional? Wife got rear ended and we took the X5 into Kuni Collision Center in Beaverton, OR. First they screwed up some electrical wiring which caused the key fob to not work - took it in to get it fixed. Now the lift gate creaks like an SOB. I found the two clip-like plastic pieces in the rear lift gate channel just resting loose on the bump stops (I do not think these are related to the squeaking, but I don't have any clue what they are). The bumper appears to gap more toward the rear and it looks like i can see clips in the gap. Also, they left some yellow tape under the rear spoiler on both the driver and passenger sides (driver pictured). Am I just being paranoid, or does this look off to you too?

looks like there is too much of a gap between the rear fender and bumper.

Take a picture from more of a distance. It's hard to tell with your shots being close up.

it isn't that noticeable if you aren't looking for it, but you might want to take it back and have them adjust it because there is too much of a gap.

It isn't on correctly. Should fit tighter. Remove the two screws on each wheel well, then remove the two long torx bolts that hold the bumper to the carrier. Have a helper assist in lining everything up while you slide the bumper in on the hangers. then reinstal the two torx (loosely) and the other screws (loosely). Step back and look at gaps left to right. If ok, tighten everything down. If not, adjust, relook, then tighten.
It's not hard to screw up mounting it if you aren't patient (don't ask...).

Looks like too much gap. What happened when you returned to Kuni to talk with them about your concerns?
I haven't heard good things about Kuni and stay away from them. I usually buy parts/service from BMW of Portland. Even though they're bit more expensive I haven't had any trouble with them. When I had a small accident in my 3 series they BMW of Portland recommended Nu-Way auto body NE Grand and they did a great job paint matching and hood fitment. Good luck with the resolution.
