DIY Mirror Replacement
Decided to put the euro split-type mirrors. Got them from a seller in ebay and this is what they look like compared to the factory mirror
![]() You will need: 1. Flatnose screwdriver 2. plastic trim removers (I used a 1inch wide trim remover) 3. painters tape STEP1 Put painters tape on the bottom of the mirror trim to prevent scratches. Adjust the mirror so its tilting up. Push up your trim remover to meet the center notch of the mirror. Pull the trim remover with the mirror towards you. STEP2 Remove the disc from the mirror ![]() ![]() STEP3 Snap the disc to the mirror assembly. The disc will attach to the motor assembly at the center, 9 and 3 0'clock positions TIP: clean the disc notches and re-grease them for easy re-install ![]() With the disc on, tilt down the mirror motor and mount the mirror to meet with the 4 locks. TIP: clean the locks so they slide easily Once the mirror seems a bit secure, use your trim remover to push down the mirror onto the disc and you will feel a secure click Clean up and enjoy ![]() |
