Dammmmmm!!! I didn't know me asking if anyone wanted to trade 87's silver for 87's gunmetal or black was going to bring out the 'keyboard gangsters'. I appreciate everyone's opinion, whether constructive or not, that's what we're all here for - to share ideas. Let's not be-little us that opted out for a 3.0i but still want the aesthetic looks of a 4.6/4.8. I'm pretty sure is not because our pockets couldn't touch one of these or because we're scared of the amount of HP it possesses. I am actually in-love with my lil' 3.0i and if there is anything I can do to make her look pretty I will.
No back on to topic.... Who's trading?

One *great* way to do that is power to weight ratio. This little calculator will serve for hours of fun as you compare the various X5's to one another or other cars.
For example, power to weight ratio's across X5's: (lower ratio = more power / 'faster') 4.8is: 14.1 (355HP@5016lbs) >'04 4.4: 15.6 (315HP@4927lbs) <'04 4.4: 17.2 (286HP@4927lbs) 3.0: 21.3 (220HP@4696lbs)This means that for every x pounds of weight on your vehicle, you have 1 horsepower. So for every (insert ratio) pounds of weight you remove from your vehicle, you will feel the effects of an additional 1 horsepower, although your actual peak horsepower will not change. This also means that if I lost 28.2lbs, I would 'find' 2HP.
