LED Tail lights NOW FLICKERING - after 6 months only! :(

Hi Guys, just wanted to share with you that my LEFT LED tail light installed 6 months ago is now flickering sporadically (The one on the right is OK). These are the LED Tail lights that come from Taiwan...

I tried the CAPACITOR FIX posted here but it did not work...

I'll try to go to the shop where I got them and try to get a replacement. However, I'm not that sure if they'd replace them because some stores do not have warranties on electronic items. If the shop won't replace my tail light, I will just order the ordinary bulb types from ebay. I think LED bulbs are too sensitive and prone to errors or flickers. Maybe this one will be better than the LED ones... I hope...

Sorry to hear that.

Alot of people have those lights for years without problems though. There will always be one that goes bad but hopefully it's rare.

LED Lights Replaced by Dealer - Thank you!

Great news! Brought the X with the defective LED Tail light to the shop where I got them and guess what - they replaced it after a few tests. They found out that the circuit inside (NOT the canceller outside at the bottom part) was the culprit hence they could not repair it anymore because the tail light is sealed.

These guys are OK. It is very rare in this part of the world that they honor warranties on electronic items. I highly recommend these sellers...

This is the kind of problem that prevents me from making a leap on a set. I think i will stick with the conventional bulb socket set rather than LED's.

I wouldn't worry about it - these lights do not go faulty often like some the problems seen with some non OEM lights on some models like the e46.

There will always be the odd one that goes bad but it's the same with everything. The OEM Lights seem to be problematic too for many.
