With your primary concern being the children in mind. I foresee drinks being spilled on the floors. With that in mind the All Weather mats would be a bit more helpful, they have higher raised edges than the winter mats allowing more fluids and dirt to be trapped. The rubber mats should out last carpet in most situations, and they are more durable and easier to clean than cloth mats. The All Weather mats come with the needed hardware making instillation a snap!

They are part #82550151189 and 82550151190 in case you want to check.

Edit: Ouups, just realized that you are in SoCal, and don't have winters :-)
Anyways, if that reference can help others...
Eventhough we dont have snow, those look better than what i originally planned on getting. Can you post pics of it installed?

Thanks for the post but I didnt like what i have seen from weathertech (another brand vehicle) as it looks plasticky rather than rubbery. Or has it changed since?

From my experience the BMW All Weather mats have a "hard shelled" look to them but still have the same rubber texture look of other rubbery floor mats once they are installed. Those are the genuine BMW mats, from my records they have not changed the styling.

Since you posted a link from our site I'm sure you've already noted the other offerings of E53 X5 mats, here is a link to other offerings in case you have not browsed the selection.

Can't do it right now because they are not installed yet. I will install them only in november when I'll put the winter tires on. If it's not too late, I will take some pictures.

I'm trying to see if my dealer can order the anchors separately for me from BMW as I never received them with my rubber mats.

phil47, here are some pictures of my anchors (plastic and metal).

On the new plastic anchors, it is written:
Mac Neil Automotive Products Ltd
MatGrip III

Thanks!! If I can't pick them up directly from BMW...I'll try Mac Neil (Weathertech).
