you could always just wire them up and zip tie them somewhere...lol. thats what I did with my Jetta. Did you install new sensors with the pads?

Assuming you mean the brake pad sensor light is on, and not one of the other brake lights.
The sensor comes on when it has an open circuit, so it can't be shorted. If you did replace the sensors, it can be a poor connection in the junction box, or a faulty sensor. Especially if you bought something cheap off the web, and not an OE sensor.
