I also have the EBD error every time I scan my 2006 E53 X5 with DIS. I also noticed that my front wheels have excessive stopping force. Sometimes when the street is wet my ABS activates sometime. Also when I'm turning and braking with speed on wet or dry street conditions.

Good stuff. I just started noticing this fault code as well. I'm just going to ignore. No CEL's, no performance issues, no problem.

Any progress on this issue? I have had it on my x5 since I bought it 3 years ago. It’s the last error that shows up on my scanner and it really niggles me that I can’t get rid of it.

I'm yet to replace the Yaw Sensor (also called Rotational Speed Sensor) for Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), but EBV can be coded out as discussed in prior posts. The EBV error may be a false positive if the brake warning light is not illuminated in the instrument cluster:

For anyone else investigating this, it looks like indeed this may be a false positive error since replacing the yaw sensor does not seem to get rid of the error. Refer to post https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...-sensor-6.html

#34526777435 Longitudinal and Lateral Acceleration Sensor is not the same as the yaw sensor?
Why can't I find them on tis? Do they have a code, like B...?
Looks like this yaw sensor is in the rear of the center console

I'm getting this braking force distribution error as well .
Even if I clear it, it comes right back, without me even starting the car
