I don't notice mine beeping when 'muted'--I have it set to 30 mph. I'll take a look and listen tomorrow.

Logic' mode, the V1 auto-mutes alerts that it knows are false alarms, so maybe it's just those that don't register at all below my 44 mph cut-off... and all the 'real' alerts still beep once. (I suppose I could test it by switching the V1 to 'All Bogeys' mode and see if it beeps once all the time below 44 mph... )
