The first time i used a Victor Reinz VC gasket and not long after (5K) had to redo it with a Genuine BMW which has been doing fine for the last 20K or so. On the other hand the NAPA thermostat ( ~$53) is made by the same company as OE even has the same P/N just missing the BMW logo - been fine for 70K!
