I mean at this point, try what TwinsPoppa said. Disconnect the FSR and see if it still makes the noise. Or try to find someone with an X and swap FSRs.

I will have to try that.
It seems that when the car is cold (when you first start it) it does not make the noise, but after it gets warm and driving for 10 min - it starts again with the noise. I just hate little things that drive you nuts...

I get that damn tick, ,......... tick as well. I feel it is coming from the top of the dash, maybe the speakers. My drivers ones don't work, so I though it was the amp doing that. Mine does not turn off with the heater though.

But it also does not do it when I first start the car. Sometime later when everything is warm.

I can get the hissing and clicking to stop by switching the audio on and off.

Slick, sorry to hear that. Yours is definitely something with the radio. Mine has nothing to do with radio - I checked already. Will keep digging...

Yea I am pretty sure mine is with the radio/amp/speakers. My sound in the car is terrible. I haven't turned on the audio since the day I picked it up from port.

Can you take a vid of that ticking sound?

I went to my guy at the shop today to ask him what that noise could be and of course I knew it as I posted before - it did not make any noise in front of him, but he was cool and knew the symptoms exactly and what I explained to him he was sure that the problem is with the flap motor. He checked all the settings and pressed all buttons. He said for sure it is not the Disa, because I would not have heat at all, not the FSR because I will have only one speed on the fan.
He said there are several of those motors and usually you have to take apart the dashboard to see exactly which one is becoming bad. He even showed me a bad one he had on hand and showed me the noise it makes and it sounded kinda the same. So for now, since it stopped making the noise, I will just leave with it,until something really breaks or becomes too loud or annoying.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have a weird ticking/clicking noise coming from my dash vents and I was hoping someone might know what the cause may be.

It's only on with the vents are on and when the AC is On. Also when I slow down and apply the brakes, the noise is constant and the ticking is more rapid.

This problem started to occur when my aux fan stopped working and when I noticed that I have a coolant leak somewhere.

Any suggestions?
