Need help with cv axel removal

Earlier this year I replaced the drivers side cv axel after finding a torn boot on outer cv joint. *I am now replacing the passenger side axel. *When I replaced the driver side, the removal of the axel was simple as I could pry out the axel using a short prybar sitting on a socket against the frame. *This time, the frame location and the extended output shaft is not making the removal as simple. *I have not found an easy way to tap out the axel from behind. *I have also rented a slide hammer to try and tap the axel out but the adapter that came with the slide is not fitting in the tight space.

Can anyone suggest another way to pull the axel or if anyone has access to TIS, are there suggestions listed there?
