I did this with my 2002 VW New Beetle, after I got all the condensation out, I resealed the headlight with some type of black glue that I got at the hardware store, I'm not sure what glue it was but it was black and silicone type that worked very well; you just have to be patient like I was. I have had no problems every since. Hope this helps.

edit: It was epoxy windshelid glue!!!
