I once again this evening removed the compressor for the rear suspension ( The triangle part in the middle ) and tried to wiggle and spot anything out of the normal and did not find anything. I tested the voltage on the battery it looked fine and saw about 13.9 V when it cranked over. I thought it might be a bad battery when it gets hot the battery expanding and causing a short That seems logical?? I am debating if I shopuld just go back to sears and have them check it out before I take it to the shop on Friday. I plan on taking it to a independent shop on Friday since I am suppose to do a check up the the transmission i just put in it. So i will have the battery tested then too. |

I agree, no way it's the battery or alternator if all power cuts out like that then returns.
Tranny works seems to be the cause of so much trouble afterwards. Something must have got damaged during the work. Check for loose/damaged electrical cables. Last edited by evo2; 12-21-2011 at 01:12 AM. |

this sounds like an ignition switch problem, easy fix, try troubleshooting that! GL!

Lights and hazards cut out as well, so doubt it's the ignition switch.
They need to work even without a key. |

Sounds like some relay is overheating and disconnecting all power.

Did you check the ground strap?

Where is the ground strap located
I checked the negative & positive terminal, and the one in the engine bay.. |

Part 18. I believe that there is another for the alternator. |

The alternator is in direct contact with the engine. Doubt there would be a ground strap on it.

I think the Alternator is rubber mounted so would need a strap.
