I actually loved my Michelin Diamaris. Yes, they wore quickly and were loud, but you could really feel a difference with the way they hug the road. The stiff sidewall also made for less roll in turns. It wasn't until they were gone that I missed them!
I've heard great things about the Conti DWS. I actually wanted to buy them but the backorder was so long and far away that I opted for the Toyo STIIs. I obviously can't compare the two but let me shed some light on the Toyos as I have now put 10k miles on them. Toyo STII +: -Extremely quiet -Wear very well (I drive hard and after 10k miles mine still measure 8/32"!!) -Excellent in rain and shine -Good in snow (don't expect any AS tire to be better) -Aggressive look -Cheap! Mine were $830 shipped!! Toyo STII -: -Tread is not as wide as the Diamaris (they looked beast) -I personally think the tread design is very "boy racer" -A bit of lean in the turns (I'm guessing just a softer sidewall than the summer Diamaris I was used to) As you can see, the positives well outweigh the negatives. I would very highly recommend this tire, especially considering the price/mileage. -Cyrus
