How is the sand bag working out? Does it move much as you drive around? I'm looking for an alternative to windshield mount. Thanks.

You might want to consider some options, this is an old thread for portable nav attachments which you are looking for, courtesy of our friendly search feature

I'm well aware of that thread link (since I started it) and the friendly search feature as well Thanks for pointing it out, though

I was mainly interested in X5sti's experience of the bean bag with that Navman GPS.

I have the climate comfort screen on my 'X' and have a separate GPS antenna for my Road Angel II safety device/speed camera detector stuck just to the side of the auto lights/rain sensor block on the windscreen. There are two radio transparent 'windows' in the coating to allow for this type of operation, similar to the 'window' at the bottom centre of the front screen.

Works absolutely fine

Is it possible to see these windows? I have a Parrot GPS kit going in after xmas & I would like to mount the antenna in a similar location.
