Electrical HELP please: Fuse "#72 Audio/Nav" causing battery drain

When I remove Fuse #72 (Audio/Nav) in the cargo area my battery drainage stops, but then I dont have radio or cd, I do have Navigation but no audio/sound.
I replaced the "Audio Unit Relay" (cargo area) but still get battery draining when fuse#72 is in place? Help?

Please see link for fuse and relay:

Hello, i have a BM54 radio professional module in my bmw x5, the fault with the unit is that it draws 2,4 Ah and hour with the car locked and turned off.

Same problem as you described, was in my car because a faulty radio module, i had it to a bmw shop and they concluded.

Try disconnecting the radio module and measure it again?
If not you can try to disconnect the navi display, many cars have electric loss there.

Best regards from norway.

I had a look at the module, it seems ok?

Anyone:
Can/could I swap the constant 12v wire with a redundant ignition wire in the next relay holder?
That way the radio would only power up with the ignition key (I hope) and stop the 12v constant wire from draining the battery when the 30a fuse is in place ??

Thanks for looking

Update:
I took out the constant 12v wire in the "Audio unit relay holder" and swapped over the redundant Ignition 12v wire from the "Rear seat heating relay holder" to where the constant 12v wire was.
I can now have the radio playing when the ignition is on! time will tell if this has also stopped the battery drain as well (will know in a day or two) from fuse #72?
It was pitch dark outside when I finished so I couldn't be bothered taking the spare wheel etc out to do an inline measure with the multimeter.

Battery drain after replacing the Radio

Hi

I have upgrade radio unit with AVIN2 (Android) based. Eversince I am facing battery Drain issue..

if i drive vehicle to my work place 60 miles (2 way) car stays up and runs fine, but batter strength % shows to 50-60%, if that is goes below 40% car does not start
( I bought a car charger

but my spouse drive 20 miles (2 way) and then with in 2 days battery drains.. irrespective whether I use or not using the car....

well, In addition to this I am also hearing small electric click sounds from CARGO area.

What I did so far:
1) Initially the person who was installed left old GPS DVD connected and not taken away. So, I have took off that one also .. but still no luck.

2) To USB i left iphone charger left initially, thought that was causing and took off that one off..

3) verified vehicle going sleep after 16 minutes, yes it is going in sleep mode

4) AAA person advised, since it is battery is low hence alternator struggling alot i may get into issues alot if not now but in future...

but I seems like hitting same problem like you.. can you give me instructions how did you change you suggested int your previous updates!!

the clicking sound you hear is more than likely
a faulty relay, they are behind the pull down
cover on the right hand side from the rear of
the vehicle, simply listen or pull them out one
at a time to trace the culprit and replace.

A lot of people have this problem (battery drain) from
the gps/dvd system, disconnect the system unplug
all and see if it cures the drain? if it does then you
will need to find sort of on/off switch to kill the power
going to the system when not in use or a new/used
gps/dvd/system
