you can use contactspray to get rid of any moisture in electrical systems. Maybe it works for these purposes as wel ... ?

Hmm, well I guess you could do the old Remote+Hold Unlock+ and roll the windows down if you feel you are in danger of something breaking. Of course if it's raining or snowing it would suck. But it's a way in.

DON'T DO THAT! The window regulator might break.

X5 3,0DA NORWAY is on a distinguished road
Exclamation

Hello, i am new to this forum and i own a 2003 X5 3,0da and i live in the cold Norway.
I experienced trouble with the door locks freezing, as a result i can not close the door until the vehicle was warm.

This did the trick for me:

Step 1:

I sprayed WD-40 in the door locks, and removed the plastic cover besides the door latch and i sprayed a lot of wd-40 inside. I did this to drive out the mouist.

Step 2:

I bought a half liter(0,5L) of Anti freeze coolant at my local parts shop.
I pored the Anti Freeze over in a spray bottle, and i sprayed anti Freeze into the places mentioned above in step 1.

The result:

Minus 13 degrees celcius and cold vehicle, all doors open and close perfect, this is the trick that saves you from looking a complete idiot when you try to acess you nice vehicle at crowdy places

Best regards from Norway/ Enjoying the X-E53 FORUM!

SORRY GUYS FOR THE REPOST, SAW MY TRICK WAS ALREADY MENTIONED
