No my rims and the car are just fine. I actually ended up buying a new rim after dealer got frustrated and said it was probably a bent rim to no avail. Car and tires were just fine until I changed up to these, later I read on this forum that many others had similar experience. Some people love these tires, I think they are junk, no wonder they cost 200 a piece
Also I know the monitors on the rim, when did I say otherwise

As far as I know on the e53 it isn't actually a tire pressure monitor. It uses the wheel speed sensor to determine slippage.

Can't find the big thread about them but below is a couple of guys with similar problems. Some people love them and have had a good experience others have not.
