Hi and welcome. I have an '05 4.8iS with 70k mi. I bought in '09 with 50k. It had the CPO warranty until August of last year. Had a few things replaced under warranty that seem to be normal fare up to this mileage range (air struts, bluetooth unit, suspension parts). Right now I have an occasional transmission jerk when cold, but other than that still a pleasure to drive. For tires I opted for the Vredestein as I could deal with a summer tire year round. Price was about $1200 for the set installed IIRC and looks like they (at least the rears) are lasting me exactly 2 years, probably 16k miles. Other than installing the trailer hitch, not much I personally DIY on her as I have an indie mechanic I use. I think about getting rid of her before the transmission blows up, but can't think of anything for the money that I'd rather drive. I like the wolf in sheep's awesome clothing aspect.

Completely agree except for the "all worth it it's the best vehicle I ever owned" Having the Cayenne Turbo opens my eyes on how solid a truck really should be.

Counting tires, rear brakes, normal oil/fluid changes, etc., and less than a handful of minor 'repairs', I don't think I've spent that much on our '01 in 11.5 years, total. GL, mD
