Sat nav full postcode search help please

I've searched around, but I can't find out why I'm unable to do a full 7 digit postcode search on my sat nav.

I have the Mk4 sat nav unit.
It's running V32 firmware.
The software version is 4-1/00.
I have a 2009-2 High Europe map DVD which says on it "5 and full 7 digit postcode input options"

But I can only input a 5 digit postcode, which is useless!

I've read a lot of posts found on different forums and it would seem that I have everything to enable full 7 digit postcode searches. But I can't.

Can anyone shine any light on this please because it's driving me mad?

On the destination input screen, scroll down to information and select

Now select travel information

Select info on location

Select travel

Select uk postcodes

From the list select the first postcode letter

Leave max. Distance at default 'any'
Scroll down to name until highlighted in red and select

Enter post code including the space and then select enter

Select search

If you have entered a valid postcode you will be able to select this as your destination

On the main screen you will see the destination information

Select destination guide

And you are done

In my experience it is a pain and I use the 5 digit post code which you enter in the area titled city on the main screen, and then pick the street from the list below.

Thank you. I've just tried it and it works. You're right though, it is a pain!
