completely false? A bit strong of a statement, don't you think? So you are saying that putting the cluster directly into the vehicle will not result in a odometer tamper warning? That, my friend, is completely false.

Obviously you either have the tools that the dealer uses or have access to them. Good for you. 99.99% of the people out there won't have that and will have to rely on the dealer for instrument cluster coding. Nice of you to offer to help.

if you do some research you will find that in no way a dealer can re-code sucessfully a used cluster. dealers have no problem telling someone they can re-code a used cluster. they will take your money in a heartbeat. the mileage, vin and sia data will not change, but the coding data will.

so what part of "you will get a mileage tamper error unless you get it recoded at the dealer" is completely false? everything is because you did not state your going to have the manipulation dot on if you dont have it match the mileage on the lamp module which can only be done with hacker tools.
