subieworx is on a distinguished road
When I put it in reverse I get one long beep that lasts 2 or 3 seconds then it stops. When this happens the light on the PDC button flashes.

Agreed, sounds like during the hitch installation the wiring harness was not properly connected to each PDC sensor, or the harness was damaged.
