I have these sitting unmounted now. They came on my new X5 and I don't recall seeing Ronal stamp on it.
Below are pics of genuine 168 wheels. The size of wheel is right below BMW part #.

The photos from LeMansX5 show the clearest differences between genuine and what you got. There cannot be that much variation from one lot to the next. Good luck with the return. Even though they are replicas they might not be bad wheels. The seller should just be honest about it and price accordingly.

Your right, all that is required is honesty sometimes, they were £1750 with Bridgestone's on.
Just weighed one of the rears, it was 83lb, seems a little heavy.
Guy I phoned and told him they were comming back was not best pleased!

That price would be OK if it were US $.

My question is this. What does it matter really? Just to say that they are genuine? I bought a set of 168s for $720. Yes they are OEM. They look good and ride good. If you think because they are OEM that they will break, I've seem quite a few pics of OEs that break also. So I ask again, what's the difference? For that price, you won't get new OEs and tires.

The difference is actually quite significant. All around better metal and casting means that you get a lighter wheel that resists bending and damage far better.

Aside from the 'quality' issue, it would be the principle of the purchase, for me. Some idiot is pumping knock offs as the real part, and not even couching them as NOS. And, he ripped the OP on price, too...though the OP might have considered that if the price is too good, it's too good & suspect.

If I remember correctly, the weight on the box said 42 lbs. I picked them up and I'm sure that was just an approximate weight for shipping purposed. So I don't think they're too much heavier than OE. Also, I personally saw an OE Style 87 split in half, like a bagel.

I agree with you. I knew for sure that the ones I bought were OEM. This guy that is trying to sell them as OE needs his ass kicked.

I still maintain my comments. Good luck with the reps.
