Time for me to join this club. I find out today, from TiagX5 that the engine skid cover bolts cannot be re-used. And I have done just that about 3 times so far, re-used them. Ever since I first took that thing off, I've just impact gun it to 120ft-lbs with my torque stick and called it a day.
You are supposed to torque it to 41ft-lbs, then 90 degrees. Go figure. Curious how many others don't tighten it properly either. I'be been wondering why I have my front swaybar rattle going on. Last edited by SlickGT1; 05-25-2012 at 11:11 AM. |

I joined this club when rain was in the forcast, dropped the soft top on the Viper to take to work, ran in the house to grab my stuff, pull out of the garage, hit 16th st in St Pete, FL., just as I hit 2nd gear the side rails snapped and the roof assembly folded back slamming the trunklid so hard the trunklid cracked. New softtop assembly and decklid, $$$! All because I forgot to flip the header latch levers.
